
FIP / SUFFICIENT RESOURCES RESIDENCE PERMIT
Citizens of third countries (non-EU) who are economically independent can obtain a residence permit in Greece, provided they have sufficient financial resources to support their living expenses. This permit does not allow the holder to work or engage in any independent economic or investment activity in Greece. The residence permit is granted for a two-year period and can be renewed as long as the individual continues to meet the financial requirements.

Tax Profits Option
The Greek Ministry of Finance and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue have introduced a decision for individuals earning pension income from abroad. If these individuals transfer their tax residency to Greece, they can opt for an alternative tax regime, which includes a flat tax rate of 7% on foreign-source income.
